When I was working on my essays alone, I found that I struggled to express my thoughts directly while trying to express them with more than just basic words. When teachers or friends read my essays, they sometimes they couldn't follow the jumps in my reasoning or sentences. I was frustrated as to why they couldn't follow. You helped me find keywords, phrase sentences to sound professional while expressing my emotions at certain times and ensure my line of thought was cohesive.
When you began helping me, I slowly started to recognize my common essay writing errors. Consequently, new essays written from scratch resulted in much better rough drafts that required less editing.

I began working with Tamar on my college application in August, and having that early start made a huge difference. Before working with her, I struggled to get all my ideas out of my head and on paper. Tamar helped me organize my ideas and map the flow of my writing, ultimately turning them into essays that felt personal and cohesive. Furthermore, Tamar helped me stay on track by creating a clear schedule for writing and meeting times. Her flexibility allowed us to Zoom call during my study halls at school. We often would “live-write” and brainstorm together, then on days we didn’t meet, Tamar would leave edits and feedback on my documents that I could respond to later. That constant back-and-forth helped me improve quickly.
The college application process is hands down one of the most stressful periods of high school. Tamar encouraged me to persevere. Over time, I saw clear improvement in my essays and the writing process only became easier with each essay I completed. By the end, I genuinely felt confident in my essays and very proud of my work. I am very excited to share that I will be attending my dream school, the University of California, Santa Barbara. I am extremely grateful for all the support Tamar provided me during this process.
